People just never seem to die normally in African movies. From overdramatic slow motion post-gunshot sequences, to grave and lengthy revenge speeches accompanied by the most inappropriate sound effects, the generic death scene in African movies, as popularised by Nollywood, is so overblown that it pushes the limits of exaggeration.
